Other activities during MyLDS that I might share will be the:
Youth to Business
A day where we meet externals and have a meaningful session with a topic of ”Youth for Nation Development”. Throughout the whole session of Y2B, it tells me that never underestimate ourselves as youth who can actually contribute to our own nation development. As being part of AIESEC we are actually starts to take action toward it through the social project we have proposed in AIESEC which is trying to solve the social issues within our community. Furthermore, it’s also the first time to learn how to be sustainable not only for project wise, but also our personal life throughout workshop with Bursa Malaysia. It stimulates me to believe the importance of investment for my future during the 3 hours long workshop.
MyLDS Challenge
MyLDS challenge is a new initiative by one of the Facis where each group have to come out with one Eddie mascot. During explanation for the challenge, I was confused with the requirement: “at the end of the conference it must be left one mascot and every day it must grow bigger and bigger”. And guess what the idea behind this challenge? It’s to let us realized that although every delegate comes from 13 different LCs, but the point is all of us are one entity who are striving together in reaching the same goal by the end of 14/15 term! (various Eddies has gather in one place and it sounds like the theme of the conference: “United we Dream, Together We Fight”)
Talent Night
Talent Night for TU it will be an acting which reflect on the social issue that AIESEC as an organization trying to solve it. Sexual Harrassment and Judgment will be the key message of the overall performance. Followed by other LC which is Dance, beatbox, singing, harmonica and cup performance with delegates coloured wrist band to enhance the feeling on the night concert
LC Sharing
LC Sharing reminds me this word, “If you want to connect yourself with others, show your vulnerability part and it works. The point is not everyone are able to share their deepest feeling to the random people before you gain their trust on them, as for it I would said that it takes time and have to be brave to do so. People don’t know how much you care on unless you share.” It is quite surprise me that I didn’t realize that I can impact someone life with my simple action which is shared in front of the delegates.
Opening and Closing Plenary
During this conference, I am seeing a lot of people crying, challenge and brave themselves to speak out and don’t mind to share their feeling for more than a thousand people. All of them are trying hard to run from the stage even before the Chair of the conference start to ask for, it such an amazing souls who are hungry and take the opportunities to share on the stage. Their action reminds me whether I actually have challenged myself to my limitation or not. Thinking out of the box and opportunity take the initiative to lead the team is everywhere, it our choices whether we want it or not.
Time Tunnel & 47 years of AM
Besides Global Village, first day is good enough to impress me with the Time Tunnel. It’s all about the past issues starts from WW2 till the MH17 and with a brief history AIESEC and its existence as a youth run organization to create a better future in this world was being introduced. Another session will be the past 47 years AIESEC in Malaysia together with the alumni sharing. It is amazing session where I feel every decade having different challenges and how they overcome with it, also how do our predecessors are trying hard to maintain and make AIESEC in Malaysia stay alive till now. To add on, somehow I feel as riding a time machine for the whole day!
Global Village
First activities that we have during MyLDS for 2 hours duration. I feel like going to 13 different countries at once when I am entering the hall. Every LC showcases different country, such as: Korea, Peru, India (LCTU), etc. Muruku, Indian Tea, Bindi and Henna might be the things that our LC has in the booth. Bollywood style dancing performance which incorporates with the outstanding mascot (Lady Gage) and it really creates an unexpected performance on stage. Our newly created LCTU Square dance ‘Uptown Funk’ and ‘SHINIES’ Roll call were being showcased on stage to every LCs together with the others LC too.
