REFLECTION PREVIOUS SEMESTER
"Step out from your Comfort zone, Challenge & You got it !"
As a newbie in Taylor's University last semester, I face a big transition in my life from relying on my parents (as a children) till being forced as an independent person and facing problems alone (as an adult) in managing my life. I think this kind of changing condition will indirectly affect my semester result and I was afraid with it.
Initially, it was a bit hard for me to step out from my comfort zone by studying overseas out away from my hometown. I met all new stuffs in that moment, such as : new environment, housemate, friend, living place, culture, studying place and problem. I had a problem in time-management, managing depressed, homesick, finance problem also culture shock. Moreover, I find it difficult to balance the moment to study, exercise, cook and play.

Although I have problem, I feel a big satisfaction and delighted when I managed to get an A with 4.00 CGPA for my first semester. At the same time, I have learned skills that I can’t tackle on before, such as: time issue, etc. Since I had successfully achieve an outstanding result and to keep moving forward, I realized the importance to be more active in a Club and Socities in Taylor’s University, instead of only studying.
In my future semester, I hope I can apply skills I have learned before in managing my next semester’s result. I can leverage on my skills that besides maintain my enthusiasm and in studying also be proactive in Club to improve skills that I can't get inside the course for the sake of my later future career requirement. I think the term of study smart and play hard is a good reminder to me in motivate and supervise myself on the right track in achieving my goal.
