MyLDS 2015 Experience

“Empower, World citizen, Self-Aware, Be a Solution driven. I want to be and re-create a leader who is having above criteria”

Above is the word that is still remained on my head as a promise to my home group at the end of the conference.

As an ACD, I do realize a lot of thing that I should have done better throughout MyLDS. I have to be more proactive with the high efficiency to do the required things. Cheering up delegate’s energy, morning call, headcount every time reach on different location, handle with delegates who is not feeling well and sick, sugar cube preparation items and delegates food distribution. It forces me to be more alert, reliable and be more confident and firm in terms of coordinating the delegates. The most important thing I learned is to put myself as delegates and CD position to give the best out of my role.

As in Senior Track, I was expecting that it might be really technical compare to Junior Track. However, I would say that I was wrong. Meet new people who are having the same position with me as a TL. Captain America is a group full of amazing people where we share the same topic along the journey as PD, the middleman between member and VP position. Together we complete MyLDS Challenge, do some sharing session and many realizations that I am actually learn from them.

Here are some tips!

For those who have yet gone through MyLDS, I really do recommend you to explore more to new people during MyLDS.  I definitely don’t realize this is very useful until I do indirectly have a conversation with the people that I have yet really talk with before and actually get inspired by them. I was wondering why actively participate to voice out on every session and then I can conclude on:

"This is could be your first and last national conference as it is only conducted once a year. I have my own goal to come to MyLDS which why I am doing right now is to achieve my own goal. Moreover, you will never know when you are going to meet this bunch of amazing people, so do appreciate this time and talk with them, do the best and left no regret behind."

Post Conference Syndrome!

I do post my feeling in my Facebook Account for my for Post Conference syndrome. Also, you will get a lot of friend request which all of them you will surprisingly know every single of them which from different universities and country

To sum up,

“If we believe on what we are doing, we definitely can do it and the goal will be achieved soon as if we start to take brave action!”

What do I gain?

All the session for this whole 6 days is well spent as it is designed based on certain aspects. I could say it helped me to get more insight and motivate to do my best for the next 5 months before the 14/15 term is officially ended. It goes to the theme itself which is “United we dream, Together we fight.”  I realized that to reach the goal of the term, first of all we have to know the purpose for us to do it before we take action which if it is a need to collaborate with other LCs instead of competition among others.

MyLDS 2015 is my first target right after I have finished my September LLDS 2014. It keeps whispering on my mind said that no matter what I have to be part of this national conference. Therefore once the MDF application is opened, with a full determination I directly applied for it and manage to get this opportunity.

Straight away, I share the session that I remember the most throughout 6 days 5 nights at UPM. They’re many new initiatives during MyLDS 2015, as it’s the first time to have the biggest number of delegates, the first time having 3 tracks and few special events to let delegates enjoy themselves

We do realize that we are accountable for our member learning experience within their AIESEC journey. Many realizations I have which I learn from people, not only from the session. I realize who am I, people around me, why they behave in a way they do, the importance of sharing  being and sensitive in knowing what’s the reality of within our own and other functional department and LCs.
