Reflection on Skills and Achievement in 2013

"Never Refuse it, before YOU try it!"

"Everyone can learn skills if it followed by an effort!"

Last year, I had officially graduated on my high school life where I had three months of holiday before I proceed to Taylor’s University. During that period, my mother was concerned on me how I can study overseas if I didn’t have a cooking skill. Based on that, I started to learn how to cook usual daily meals for my family under my mother’s support.

Initially, I was hate to touch or even step my foot in the kitchen and think that cooking is very hard. I could say I didn’t have any knowledge on cooking even a simple food like cooking rice in a rice cooker, etc. Moreover, my mother was very patient to teach me step by step and day by day.

As time goes by, I had learned and improved in my cooking skills within three months. I can cook meals that I desire to and no need to depend on people anymore. I have learned many things in cooking process that can apply in my life, for instance: learn on how to be more patient, flexible, hardworking, responsible, and appreciate on the food I had cooked on.

I could say I shouldn’t judge something first before I really try it. In my future life, I always remind myself that as long as I have a big motivation and effort to achieve something, I am really can obtain it. There is nothing impossible or difficult to achieve, if we are sincere willingness to learn it.
